Sending Email using SMTP Authentication using Outlook Express

How to set Outlook Express to authenticate to an SMTP server.

1. Open Outlook Express 6, go to Tools -> Accounts.

Tools /> Accounts
2. Click the Mail tab and select your email account. Click Properties.

Tools /> Accounts > Servers Tab
3. Click the Servers tab and put a check in the box beside "My Server Requires Authentication". Click OK.

4. Click Close to return to the main Outlook Express window.
